Why would you want to hydroseed?
MUCH BETTER FOR THE
ENVIRONMENT AND ANIMALS
- NO NETTING
- Hydroseeding can give you the best super bowl turf for just a fraction of the cost of sod
- Erosion control
Hydroseeding is great for tough to seed areas that are subject to erosion. . - Seed is "packaged" with all the necessary fertilizers and nutrients to ensure strong and rapid root development.
- Seed germinates faster.
- A larger percentage of the grass seed germinates producing a full lush lawn.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU HAVE HYDROSEEDED
- Watering - For proper germination, you must water regularly, 3 - 4 times a day for 15 minutes in warm weather. Keeping the yard moist maximizes seed germination. This should be done for the first two weeks.
- Mowing - Mow the grass when it is approximately 1-2 Inches long but makes sure not to let it get to high because you never want to cut more that 1/3 of the grasses length.
Erosion Control
Hydroseeding is great for large erosion problems. If you are tired of having the soil you just brought in destroyed this is when you need hydroseeding. Large construction companies use hydroseeding on large dot projects to help save the soil and let it be appealing to the eye.
